New Delhi: Fresh high-scale equity index on Thursday with BSE Sensex benchmarks rose more than 300 points led by profits in realty, he and banking stocks amid positive global cues.
After increasing the highest intra-day 54,874, the 30-share BSE index jumped 318 points or 0.58 percent to close at the new record peak of 54,844.
Meanwhile, the wider NIFTY NSE settled 82 points or 0.5 percent higher at only 16,364 highs.
The top transaction in the sensex package includes PowerGrid, Tech Mahindra, HCl Tech, L & T, Titan, NTPC and ICICI Bank with their shares up 6.05 percent.
Meanwhile, Dr.
Reddy, M & M, Indusind Bank, Axis Bank and Maruti are the main losers down to 0.77 percent.
On the NSE platform, the media nifty sub-index, that, Realty, Bank PSU rose as much as 2.28 percent.
According to experts, near a strong last night on Wall Street and reduced fears of inflation driving a domestic market, but weak Asian stocks had limited gains.
“The global equity market has a positive news from US inflation data for July which has reached 0.5 percent month to month.
It’s a little lower than expected and confirm the Fed’s thesis that temporary inflation,” said VK Vijayakumar, head of investment strategy in Geojit Financial Services told the PTI news agency.
The positive response of Dow and S & P to the inflation rate and the decline in the dollar index will strengthen the Bulls.
Investors also look forward to consumer price inflation data for July, scheduled to be released later on.
On the global front, Asian shares were dipped in fear of the spread of Delta variants from Coronavirus burdening sentiment, even as US inflation relieved fears of the Federal Reserve interest rate hike.
Meanwhile, institutional investors (FIIS) are clean buyers in the capital market when they buy shares worth RS 238.14 Crore on Wednesday, according to temporary exchange data.
