Sensex surged more than 200 points to achieve a new record; Nifty is close to 17,200.

New Delhi: After starting the beginning, the equity index rebounded to trade higher in afternoon trade.
At 12:40 a.m., the 30-shared BSE index traded 206 points or 0.35 percent higher at 58,503.
While the wider NIFTY NSE rose 40 points or 0.23 percent at 17,418.
Bharti Airtel is the top enhancer in the sensex package up 3.37 percent, followed by HDFC, ITC, Bank Indusind, Reliance and Asia Cat.
While Axis Bank, Infosys, Bank Boxes, Powergrid and NTPC are the main losers down to 1 percent.
In the previous session, the 30-share index rose 166.96 points or 0.29 percent with a new closure note of 58,296.91.
It touched the highest of all time 58,515.85 during the session.
Similarly, the wider NIFTY NSE rose 54.20 points or 0.31 percent to the top of a new lifetime of 17,377.80.
During the session, it jumped to a record 17,429.55.
