‘Sepoy married under the farmer’s flag in February’

Patiala: Sepoy Gajjan Singh, 26, who died on Monday in a shootout in the Poonch sector in Kashmir, on Wednesday was cremated in his home village, Pachranda, Nurpur Bedi, from Ropar Regency with a full military award.
Family members of the Gajjan Martyr remain unavoidable.
Chairman of the Punjab Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday paid spelling glowing to martyrs and carrying mortal remains, accompanied by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana K P Singh.
Channi, who put a bouquet of flowers, and participated in Ardas, also accompanied his martyr’s nephew and his father to turn on the Pyre of the Braveheart, which made the highest sacrifice in tasks.
Sincerely sharing sympathy with mourning family members, cm said sacrifice of Gajjan Singh who had never happened before would inspire his soldiers’ colleagues to carry out their duties with the best dedication and commitment to preserve the sovereignty and the integrity of the country.
Gajjan was married in February this year and was the youngest among all his brothers.
His family claimed the Gajjan was recruited in the army of around nine years ago in the 23rd regiment and sent to Kashmir as part of the 16 RR regimen from the past.
He performed his marriage ritual, brought along the Farm Farmer flag while his family remained part of agitation of three agricultural laws.
He survived his wife Harpreet Kaur, Pastor Charan Singh, Malkeet Kaur mother, three older brothers including Harjap Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Kamaljit Singh, all of which are farmers.
The Bajjan family has around 2.5 hectares of farmland.
On Tuesday, Sanyukt Kani Morcha also paid tribute to Gajjan Singh when collecting Inlakimpur Kheri, upward, to pay homage to four famers.
