New Delhi: The Ministry of Health on Thursday said that September and October were very important in Covid-19 management and warned that the festival must be celebrated with the appropriate behavior of Covid.
Health Secretary Union Rajesh Bhushan when handling the media confirmed that the country was still in the midst of the second wave.
Wherever there is a gap in following the appropriate behavior of Covid, we have seen increases in cases, the Ministry of Health said.
ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava said the vaccine was the discolition of the disease and not preventing disease so it was very important to continue the use of masks even after vaccination.
The government said that 41 districts in India reported more than 10 percent weekly participation.
58.4 percent of the total Covid-19 cases were reported from Kerala, the government said.
Kerala is the only country that reported more than 1 case of Active Covid-19 lakh, while four countries have 10,000 to 1 lakh active cases.
“Kerala has more than 1 active case of lakh.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh have 10,000 to 1 lakh active case.
Kerala contributes to 51%, Maharastra 16% & the rest of the three countries contributed to 4-5% of cases Cases in this country, “said Rajesh Bhushan.
Speaking on vaccination coverage in India, the Ministry of Health said that 80 lakh vaccine doses were given in this country in the past 24 hours.
While more than 47 doses of lakh have been given so far today.
The government said more than 400 refugees were brought back from Afghanistan so far and that some of them have been tested positive for Covid-19.
Infected people have been isolated and treated.
