Serena Williams has been withdrawn from next week the US Open after The American said on Wednesday that the robbed hamstring did not fully recovery ahead of the last Grand Slam this year.
Williams, a winner six times in Flushing Meadows, has experienced a season damaged by injury and hobbling from his first round match at Wimbledon crying due to a foot injury.
The 39-year-old player, who has hunted as the 24th Major which was difficult to understand, missed the Olympics in Tokyo and also chose out of Cincinnati Masters, tune-up events to the US Open.
“After careful consideration and follow my doctor’s advice and medical team, I have decided to withdraw from the US open to allow my body to heal completely from a robbed hamstring,” Williams wrote in a statement on Instagram.
