New Delhi: BCCI on Tuesday announced a revised trip plan for the house series against Sri Lanka, starting February 24, confirming that the twenty -20 series will be played before two tests.
Initially, the series two tests were planned before T20S but BCCI had made changes after the request from Sri Lanka Cricket.
“Sri Lanka first played the T20i series consisting of three matches followed by a two-match test series, which would be part of the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23,” BCCI said in a statement.
It is widely reported that the T20S against Lanka will take place before the test match in Mohali and Bengaluru and the body of the cricket have now confirmed it.
Virat Kohli is expected to play the 100th game in Mohali starting March 4-8.
The second test will be played in Bengaluru from February 12-16 and will be a matter of daytime.
The last pink ball test played in India, in the last Ahmedabad, ended in two days with England collapsing in Turner ranking.
The first T20 will be played in Lucknow on February 24 before the team traveled to the hill to Dharamsala for the second and third matches on February 26 and 27.
With a schedule announced for the Sri Lanka series, BCCI is expected to mention the test captain.
