New Delhi: Serum Institute of India (SII) will begin production of sputnik vaccines at company facilities in September, Russian direct investment funds (RDIF) said on Tuesday.
“The first batch of sputnik vaccines is expected to be produced at the SII facility in September,” RDIF said in a statement.
The parties intend to produce more than 300 million doses of vaccines in India per year, he added.
“As part of the technical transfer process, SII has received cell samples and vectors from the gamaleya center.
With their imports approved by the drug controller General India (DCGI), the cultivation process has begun,” RDIF said.
