Lucknow: In a new record, Uttar Pradesh provides more than 26 Lakh Anti-Covid-19 Jabs on Tuesday.
This has so far the largest number of doses provided by the state in one day in India.
With this, it rises to become the first country to extend more than five vaccine doses.
So far, Madhya Pradesh holds a record of maximum vaccination in a day – 16.9 lakh on June 21.
Health officials said that Tuesday-up feat was beyond the vaccination record of many countries.
Tweeting about state achievements, CM Yogi Adityanath said: “Vaccines are the best defense against pandemic infections that change their shape to attack people.

showed that 26.08 Lakh vaccine doses have been given between 9am and 6pm on Tuesday.
More than two lakh health workers were involved in a process involving nearly 12,600 vaccination sites.
In the case of the total extended dose, Maharashtra is the closest competitor with 4.52 doses of crore so far.
It was followed by Gujarat and Rajasthan where 3.44 crore and a vaccine dose of 3.36 crore had been given.
In terms of age groups, 2.44 crore people in the age group of 18-44 years have taken at least one jab while 1.63 crore people have a minimum of one dose in the age group of 45-60 years.
More than 1.05 elderly parents in the state have taken Jab.
Health sources say that CM Yogi Adityanath monitors progress per hour from vaccination programs since morning.
“The district target triples for the purpose and coordination road map between departments prepared three days earlier.
Commissioner, DMS, MLA, parliamentarians are also asked to move to the field to mobilize and monitor the situation,” said the health department resources.

Meanwhile, 65 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours even when 34 people defeated a pandemic infection in the same duration.
The death toll for the country reached 22,765 with two new additions.
Officials said that the number of active infections in the state reached 672 which was lower than 99% lower than the peak of 3.10 lakh reported on April 30.
They suggest precautions because the risk of pandemic infection is still towering and reaffirming that cases are increasing by 10 states.
