Chennai: Seven Afghan cadets (soldiers) who obtained training at the Training Academy of officers at Chennai will depart for New Delhi on Sunday and will decide their actions further after consulting with officials at the Afghan Embassy only, said Source.
This cadet is part of an integrated army training program at the Academy here in Chennai besides other Indian cadets.
However, after their arrival in India, the Taliban had controlled their home country, leaving the fate of this Afghan army dependent.
Parades that distribute 124 cadet and 29 women’s cadets, including 25 foreign national cadets, occurred at the Academy of Training officers at Chennai today.
“A total of 124 gentlemen from SSC-112 cadets and 29 women from the SSC (W) -26 courses were assigned.
16 Sirs, the cadet and nine cadets of women from friendly foreign countries also completed their training,” read the official release .
Parade reviewed by Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, who also presented the Honorary Sword and OTA gold medal for ACA Siddhanth Sharma, a silver medal for Buo Dimping Singh Bhati and BCA medal to BCA Munesh Kumar, according to the existing release.
