Ahmedabad: Sustainable with its encouragement to seal the company without fire security, Ahmedabad fires and emergency services (AFE) sealed two multiplex, five cinema rooms and nine schools because they did not have legitimate fire safety certificates.
Notification for Commercial Companies Issued Between June 30 and July 1.
“There is a clear violation of fire safety norms and we have no choice except for sealing buildings.
Our staff has reminded the administrative officers of these buildings to ensure that the certificate is in its place , “AMC official said.
Meanwhile, nine elementary and secondary schools were also sealed due to lack of fire security.
“Schools tend to be reopened in other months.
These schools have no fire safety provisions in place.
We will examine schools and colleges for the next two weeks,” officially added.
It should be mentioned here that, on September 22, AMC has issued a notification to 214 schools and was given a week to get a fire safety certificate.
Notifications served to schools present in areas such as Jamalpur, Shahpur, Panchuguva, Gomtipur, Naroda, Odhav, Maninagar, Prahladnagar, Sabarmati, Bodakdev, Aslali, Jashodanagar, Thaltej and Navrangpura.
“These schools issue final notice.
Most approach AMC for NOCs,” the official added.
