Seven injured in pre-polling hardness

Religious: In the violence of the Pre-Panchayat poll, seven people were injured, three of them seriously followed the clashes between supporters of two political parties in Mundamarai under the boundaries of the Dharakote District Police Office on Tuesday.
What was injured was undergoing treatment at various Mundamarai Hospitals, Dharakote and Aska, while those whose conditions were important called MKCG Medical College and hospitals here.
The police have been deployed in the village following the incident.
“The situation is controlled,” said Umangant Sahoo, Inspector Responsible, Dharakote Police Station.
He said the submission of nominated papers by the candidates was not hampered by the incident.
Adequate forces have been deployed near the block office in Dharakote, where candidates for Sarpanch and Samiti members archive their nomination papers.
Political competition between two groups caused the incident, police said.
While one group prepared to submit a nomination for the Sarpanch post, supporters of other groups, made some comments.
It may be the cause of the clash, said the source.
They threw stones and bamboo used, police said.
No arrests have been done even though some people have been arrested for questioning, added the police.
Patrols are intensified in the nearest area to arrest the perpetrators, police said.
