Ranchi: Seven migrant workers from the Giridih and Hazaribag districts from the country were back on Saturday after remaining stranded in Mali for several months, a West African country.
Workers, who fought against lack of money, seek help from the workplace of the Jharkhand government.
Some workers are expected to reach the country through New Delhi on Sunday media on January 16.
“As soon as we learned about their circumstances, the state government swung actions and began to coordinate for them again,” said an official in the state migrant control cell.
He also said those who were stranded had worked at Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited in Mali himself last year.
Each worker was promised by Rs 29,725 per month to be paid every quarter by the company concerned but was not paid for the past few months, he said.
