Rajkot: Seven moneylenders were booked in Morbi for allegedly threatening the borrower on Monday night.
According to officials of the Morbi Taluka police station, Arvind Charola, a resident of Haripar Village (Kerala) in Morbi Taluka has borrowed money from seven moneylenders at a different time over the past year.
Even after payment, the lender harasses it for additional payments.
Based on his complaint, the police ordered Mahendrasinh Zala, Rajesh Jilariya, Narsang Rathod, Harshad Chavda, Sagar Dangar, Bhavesh Bavaji, and Sumit Charola under various parts of the Indian Criminal Code Act-2011.
“Arvind Charola first borrowed Rs 12 lakh from Mahendrasinh Zala and Rajesh Jilariya with six percent interest.
In the past eight months, he has paid Rs 20 lakh but they still demand more from him.
Then, he borrowed Rs 12 lakh from Narsang Rathod.
Until now, he had paid Narsang Rs 8 Lakh but he still demanded Rs 20 lakh more than him, “police said.
“Charola borrowed Rs 35 Lakh at an interest rate of 3.5 percent of Harshad Chavda.
He has paid interest but Harshad gets 12 BIGHA ARVIND farms that are transferred to his name for not paying money,” Police added.
Charola also borrowed money from Sagar Dangar, Bhavesh Bavaji and Sumit at a varied interest rate.
The complainant has now accused that this sail has threatened it because he could not pay his loan.
