Seven Nashik schools closed after the Covid case surface

Nashik: Nashik Zilla Parishad (ZP) has closed seven schools in five talukas from this district until further notice following the detection of Covid cases among students, teachers, non-teaching staff and villagers where institutions are located.
Nashik Chief Executive ZP Leena Bansod said, “Three teachers, two non-teaching staff and two students have been tested positive throughout the district so far.
Everything is in house isolation because they are asymptomatic or rather symptomatic.” Schools opened back on July 19 and close on July 29.
Two schools in Sinnar and one in Malegaon together have five cases – two teachers, two students and staff who did not teach.
One teacher and one non-teaching staff were tested positive at the school at Chandwad Taluka, but the institution had not been reopened.
“At least one villagers in each field where four remaining schools have been tested positively.
We have closed these schools as a precautionary measure,” said Education Officer Nashik ZP Vaishali Zankar.
Two of these schools are located in Deola and each in Trimbak and Niphad.
Zankar said all seven schools had been reopened after July 19 and closed on July 29.
“We are conducting Covid tests from all students, teachers and non-teaching staff of these schools,” he added.
Guardian Minister Nashik Chhagan Bhujbal confirmed the development while talking to reporters after leading the Covid review meeting on Friday.
“Schools reopened according to government orders only after ensuring no Covid active cases in the village for the past 30 days.
Thus, if there are positive cases in schools or villages, the school will be closed,” he said.
Bhujbal said the Ministry of Education was carried out as the government was ordered and asked the Zilla Parishad authority to ensure that the exact test of students and teachers was carried out.
