Itanagar: seven underage prisoners (UTP) fled from prison in Arunachal Pradesh by throwing chili and pepper powder and salt in the guards promised, a senior police official on Monday.
Five Pacighat prison guards in the East afternoon district were injured in the incident which took place on Sunday night when the prison lock was opened to serve dinner to the prisoners.
Seven of detainees suddenly attacked the guards by throwing chili and pepper powder and salt in their eyes, Inspector General of Police (Law & Command) said Chukhu said.
Five guards suffered injuries in the attack and one of them was seriously injured in the head, may be hit by a thick key.
His cellphone was also taken away by UTP who escaped, what said.
