Seven took an oath as Judge Patna HC

Patna: The chairman of Judge Sanjay Karol gave an oath to seven judges at Patna High Court on Wednesday.
Three of them – Judge Rajan Gupta, Ananta Manohar Badar and Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri – have been transferred from different high courts while lawyers Sandeep Kumar, Purnendu Singh, Satyavrat Verma and Rajesh Kumar Verma are recommended by Collegium SC for the height of as Judge Patna HC.
Seven judges will begin carrying out hearings from Thursday when the High Court reopened after the Dussehra holiday.
Overall 16 benches, including new judges, had been formed because they heard criminal things and five for civil problems in accordance with the list of causes Thursday.
With new appointments and transfers, the work force of the judges at Patna HC has increased to 26.
Still, 27 posts lie empty.
The total strength of the judge at Patna HC was 53.
The Indian Chairperson of the Chairman of India, Manan Kumar Mishra, Chair of the Board of Bihar Ramakant Sharma, Chair of the Yogesh Chandra Verma Coordination Committee, Rajeev Kumar Singh and the chosen lawyer attended the ceremony.
Advocate General Lalit Kishore was also present during the ceremony swore.
Both Mishra and Sharma congratulated the new judges.
Sharma then told Toi that they were optimistic that the appointment was more judge immediately, by keeping the job.
Verma also congratulated new judges and said extraordinary steps were needed to reduce the fat in the HC, because the number had risen due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“The court can start functioning even on Saturday.
The bars and benches are fine need to be prepared for fast hearing and disposal of cases,” he said.
He said about a criminal problem and the lakh guarantee that was delayed in HC and more benches needed to throw it away.
“Five benches for civil problems will not meet the old requirements,” he added.
Abhinav Srivastava advice hopes that the hearing of civilian problems will also be given a priority.
