CORAPUT: Seven people were arrested on Saturday in connection with a MOB attack on the team from the Kakrigumma police station after the death of a motorcyclist in an accident near the Baiguda train station.
The police team had gone to a place to investigate the accident.
“All seven people are arrested and will be produced in court,” SP (Coraput) Varun Gunthapalli.
Police sources said at around 3:30 p.m.
on Friday, a call was received at the Kakrigumma police station about the accident.
“Who was injured, Lalit’s room, lay unconscious in a pool of blood and in an effort to save our people to shift him to the Medical College SLN and hospital.
But he died in Wayl,” SP said.
But a group of 10 to 15 women and 50 to 60 people armed with Lathis began to abuse and attack the police as why victims were transferred to the hospital without the approval of the villagers.
Two police officers were injured.
Additional strength brings the situation under control.
