Thane: The unity of employees from Maharashtra State Road Transport Transport Corporation (MSRTC) said that it would launch agitation if they did not benefit based on the Recommendation for the Seventh Pay Commission.
Maharashtra Rajya Parifahan Kamgar Sena Mali’s Day president, overcame the press conference here, claiming the chairman of Minister Uddhav Thackeray said staff of all 53 companies managed by the state will get the benefits of the seventh payment commission, the Minister of Transportation Anil Paratab said this would not be extended to MSRTC employees.
Mali said the wage agreement for the period 2016-20 and 2020-2024 has not been pressed between management and staff so far, adding that the MSRTC owes Rs 4,849 Crore to employees with a temporary wage increase.
“We risked our lives running the bus during Covid-19 pandemic.
We will launch agitation if the state government failed to give us the benefits of the seventh payment commission,” Mali said.
