Pune: The train police at Maharashtra’s Solapur understands the partner who travels with their 16-month-old daughter’s body, which allegedly been sexually attacked and strangled to death, an official said on Friday.
The train police on Thursday looked down the Duo from the Gujarat train in Solapur with a toddler body, the official said.
The defendant traveled from Secunderabad City of Telangana on the Rajkot train that was bound to throw the body in their hometown, he said.
According to the preliminary probe, the 26-year-old child’s father allegedly conducted sexual abuse and strangled him to death in their house in Secunderabad on January 3, and the mother had helped him in crime.
Some vigilant passengers on the train became suspicious when the child did not show signs of movement during the trip, the official said.
“Passenger colleagues then told the ticket checker on the train, and subsequently, the train police at Solapur Station were also Disagus,” said Ganesh Shinde, supervisor of the police, (train police).
The duo was made to get off at the Solapur train station, he said.
“Following a medical examination, toddlers announced dead.
It was revealed that the father strangled himself to death after attacking him sexually.
The mother also helped him in crime.
The family then took the Rajkot train, because they wanted to throw the body in their place of origin,” Shinde said.
The case has been registered in a partner at the Solapur Train Police Station under the relevant parts of the IPC and the protection of children from the Sexual Act (Pocso).
