CHENNAI: A couple of days following the arrest of some PSBB school man instructor on complaints of sexual harassments registered by girl pupils, the Chennai city authorities have registered similar instances against a different college instructor and an athletic trainer.
The police filed a case from a Maharishi Vidya Mandir School instructor Anand according to complaints by a few alumni.
The college direction suspended Anand and featured a committee to investigate into the allegations.
The Ayanavaram all-women authorities contacted the former pupils who submitted their own harrowing experience.
A senior police officer stated,”We have filed a case and so are documenting the statements from the complainants.
” The Flower Bazaar all-woman authorities registered a case against athlete trainer Nagarajan, 59, for creating sexual advances under the pretext of performing physiotherapy.
He had been reserved under the POCSO Act depending on the criticism of a university student, who obtained triple jump coaching at his Prime Academy that’s registered with all the Tamil Nadu Athletic Association.
Nagarajan, who’s functioning at the GST commissionerate and could be retiring from service in the following six months, tried to stop his life by swallowing sleeping pills.
He had been admitted to Government Royapettah Hospital.
Sexual harassment complaints against faculty teachers have begun pouring in from various areas of the town because the arrest for PSBB school instructor G Rajagopalan.
Authorities obtained about 15 complaints from other parts of Chennai and equivalent number of these complaints came from different areas of the nation.
Authorities said complainants could contact offense against women and kids deputy commissioner of police H Jayalakshmi on her cellular number 9444772222.
The complainants’ details are kept confidential,” they said.
