Coimbatore: A private school teacher is secured by the City Police (West) of Coimbatore on Friday for sexual harassment of class XII students and conspiring with suicide.
The teacher has been identified as Mithun Chakkaravarthi who has taken physics in class XI and XII at the Chinmaya Vidyalaya matriculation school at PM Samy Colony at Puram Hospital.
He was ordered under Section 306 (Suicide Reduction) of the Indian Criminal Code and 9 (L) (anyone who committed sexual violence in children more than once or said) and 10 (punishment for sexual violence) from the protection of children of the action Sexual violation (Pocso).
According to sources, the 17-year-old girl was sexually attacked repeatedly by her physics teacher.
He invited the little girl to school on behalf of a special class and sexually attacked him in April 2021.
The girl took the incident to the knowledge of school management.
The management refused from school and moved the principal.
The girl obtained a certificate of transfer from school and joined a higher secondary school company at Puram Hospital.
However, the girl did not come out of mental suffering and she was given counseling by school management.
Around 16:45 on Thursday, the girl was alone in her house.
He made a telephone call to his friend who did not attend a telephone call.
Around 7pm, he called him and did not get a response.
Immediately he rushed to the girl’s house and told her father.
They found the door locked from inside and saw it hanging on the ceiling.
They opened the door and took him to Coimbatore Medical College and the hospital where the doctor stated that he had died.
The girl’s father did not file a complaint at first.
The Federation of Indian Students (SFI), All Indian Democratic Female Associations (AIDWA), Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TPDK) and several more associations took problems and held protests near the afternoon of the afternoon on Friday afternoon.
