Letter: South Gujarat Chamber and Industrial Industry (SGCCI) will prepare a report on the problem of threes of threads that affect the local textile industry and represent it to the Textile, Trade and Industrial Union Minister Piyush.
“At present, because of the various factors that influence the import of yarn, the local textile industry faces several problems.
There is also a need to improve the quality of locally produced threads where the latest technology manufacturing plant is a must,” said Ashish Gujarati, President SGCCI.
Along with the problem related to the thread, SGCCI is preparing a project report on the development of the center of public facilities for textiles where manufacturers can be provided several facilities in one place.
“In some cases, small-scale unit owners do not have the financial capacity to install machines from the latest technology.
CFC will have such a machine that can be used by unit owners,” Gujarati added.
SGCCI will also encourage special education centers for textile research.
“We are preparing a report on the University of Textile.
All major textile centers in the world have high-class educational and research facilities for textiles.
This will help us develop new technology locally and we don’t need to depend on other countries,” he added.
