Vadodara: The Joint Board of Chancellor (JBVC) on Wednesday appointed Professor Pratapsinh Chauhan, Deputy Chancellor (VC) from the University of Teacher Shree Govind (SGGU), Godhra as a candidate to the search panel constantly to recommend the name VC new University of MS.
Chauhan, former VC from Saurashtra University, is the second member to be appointed in the search panel of three members.
Previously, MSI syndicate members had appointed Professor Jai Prakash Saini, founder of VC from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi as their candidate to three member search panels.
Saini was appointed to the search panel during the last syndicate meeting held on August 21.
The search panel consists of three members including nominee syndicate, JBVC candidates and MSU Chancellor’s nominations.
MSU Chancellor Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad is expected to immediately point to his nomination to the search panel.
Members appointed as Chancellor candidates head the search panel that invited applications from academics.
This application was then studied and the names of selected candidates were recommended to the state government that took the last call regarding the appointment.
