Shadab Director Siddiqui prepares to release a song, ‘Ronde Nain Hamare’, by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Gifted director who has studied until grade 8, comes from a farmer’s family in Uttar Pradesh.
In exclusive interactions with Etime, Shadab described its journey from becoming a carpenter for the production assistant and now a director.
Quote:
How do you describe your journey from being a carpenter to the production assistant and now a director?

My trip was very exciting and emotional.
My passion for movies and cinemas starts at the age of 8.
Age 8.
The world has evolved, but when I was only a boy I was truly fascinated by our time technology.
Having the opportunity to experience a film via a CD is what is igniting my passion.
As we get older, I really understand my call.
To make my mind reality, I decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone and pursue my desire in the city of Dreams – Mumbai.
Don’t know where to start, I understand the expression “everyone passes through the struggle.” From working as a carpenter to run my uncle’s business, I did everything and fell in love with the process.
How happy are you for your next project?
Working with legend (Rahat Fateh Ali Khan), that’s the most interesting thing that can be asked and it also comes very early in my career.
I counted my blessings.
What project is interesting for you?
Hopefully it is a direct socio-political, or romantic drama.
What is most interesting for me is the essence of reality.
What is your biggest obstacle?
I took something as and when they came, take it in the chin and continue to take a positive from every difficult situation.
This is a trip, so if I can humbly say life is obstacle obstacles.
And by God’s grace, there are not many challenges that I face.
This industry is good for me until now, Touchwood.
Are you happy with how things form for you in the industry?
My career in the industry has just begun.
I am truly blessed to have what I have so far.
My fat memory if you ask working with Great Rahat Fateh Ali Sahab, this is a really great moment.
In life, there are happy moments and not too happy.
This industry has ups and downs.
But the show must continue.
In conclusion, happy? Yes.
Which project gives you the amount of creative satisfaction and which is the most challenging?
There are many of my projects that don’t release that give me extraordinary satisfaction, really because I work from passion and not coercion.
And from being released, two of which are very close to my heart.
‘Tum bin’, one of my latest projects, gave me the most creative satisfaction.
And the most challenging project must be ‘Khud to Baad’.
How do you take care of your mental health?
I keep my mind, and it doesn’t have many choices!
It’s talk about reading the disparity in Bollywood.
How are you, as director, make sure to reduce the gap?
I don’t measure the project with a monetary value.
What’s important is whether the project moves me or not, because some have a good budget and some, not so great.
Talking about the decline that pays disparity, frankly, this is someone’s choice.
