New Delhi: Minister of Houses Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Minister of Yogi Adyityanath attended the BJP Main Meeting here on Tuesday because the party jerked probable candidates for the initial phase of the central assembly poll to complete the names.
Deputy Minister of Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya and Head of BJP Swatantra Dev Singh also attended a meeting in addition to several other leaders with his national president J P Nadda, who contracted Coronavirus, attending virtually.
Official sources said the party campaign, especially considering the election commission’s decision to ban demonstrations and roadshows for soaring Covid cases until January 15, also appeared for discussions other than various other aspects of its strategy.
With the submission of nominations for the first stage of the seven phase of the Uttar Pradesh will start from January 14, CEC the party is likely to meet this weekend to complete the names of candidates, the sources said.
The polls will be held in 58 seats in the first phase on February 10 and at 55 in the second phase on February 14, and BJP is likely to announce the names of most candidates for this constituency immediately.
