Mumbai: On the first day the physical meeting was permitted after a one and a half year gap between prisoners and their relatives, actor Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday morning met his son Aryan in the Arthur Road Jail ‘Mesqat’ room and talked to him for 15 minutes.
The actor spoke to Aryan using an intercom telephone, placed on both sides of the glass wall.
Wall divides visitors and prisoners.
All conversations occurred before prison police personnel.
In other development, the NCB team on Thursday visited Srk’s Mannat Bungalow in Bandra with respect to drug cases.
They said that they had gone to find several documents related to the case of Arya Khan.
Deputy Director of NCB Ashok Mutha Jain clarified that there were no attacks in Mannat.
“We have gone there as part of procedural requirements related to this case,” Mutha told reporters.
The Shah Rukh Khan meeting with his son was the first since Aryan’s arrest on 3.
October.
“There are 24 sets of telephones in the room where relatives / visitors can talk to inmates using an intercom telephone,” said an Arthur Road Prison officer.
Khan visited the prison at around 9 in the morning; Aryan has been around for the past two weeks.
