Shahzad became the first Afghan player to reach 2000 T20i Run

Abu Dhabi: Mohammad Shahzad on Sunday became the first Afghan player to reach 2000 T20i Run.
Shahzad achieved the achievement during the ongoing match against Namibia at the T20 World Cup.
The right hand dough scored 45 running out of 33 balls before walking towards the pavilion.
Shahzad has now scored 2011 at T20IS in 68 matches with 12 years and a century under his belt.
India Skipper Virat Kohli is the top scorer in the format with 3216 running under his belt from 91 games.
Meanwhile, the former Afghan captain, Asghar Afghan received the honorary guard from Namibia during the ongoing match.
Astghar Afghan played his last match for his country because he had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Saturday.
Afghanistan locked the horn with Namibia at the T20 World Cup on Sunday and this would be Afghan Afghan’s last match for his team.
When Asghar came to Bat when the beat of entertaining Shahzad ended at the end of the 13th end, the Namibian team gave a former Afghan captain to be an honorary guardian during the match.
Afghan ASGHAR has played six tests, 114 ODIS and 75 T20IS for Afghanistan.
The right hand dough made his debut against Scotland in 2009.
Back to the match, Asghar scored 33 balls 23 balls when Afghanistan posted 160/5 in 20 overs.
