Dhaka: Bangladesh’s No.
1 Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan believes his presence in the IPL dressing room along with Pace Bowling Collegue Mustafizur Rahman will help them provide feedback to the players, which change rivals during the T20 World Cup starting October 17 in Oman and UAE.
Shakib will play for the TRC while Mustafizur is part of Rajasthan Royals.
“I hope that the IPL will help everyone,” Shakib said.
“We will spend time in these conditions, playing matches too.
Mustafiz and I can share experiences with other teams.” We will understand the mindset of other players, what they think about the World Cup, and then report back to our players.
“Acclimatization will not be a problem because the team will get enough time for it.” Our team will be in Oman at least 15-16 days before the World Cup, which is enough time to adjust the condition and goal.
“I don’t think pitch and the conditions here will have an impact there.
We have built a winning mentality, which will help us confident in the World Cup.” In their last three T20i series, Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe, Australia and New Zealand while getting invaluable playing experiences that are similar to the type they get during the World Cup.
“I think we have a good chance at the World Cup.
We have good preparation.
There are many criticisms regarding the goal and low scores but at the same time, we must understand that no one gives you more confidence than A win,” Shakib said .
“A team brings a winning mentality after success and it gives you trust at a different level.
We want to go to the World Cup with this trust,” he added.
Shakib continued to criticize the pitch at the Shere Bangla National Stadium where Bangladesh won the last two T20i series against Australia and New Zealand.
“Those who played the last nine-ten matches, everything was running out of form.
That’s how it was.
Nobody did it well.
I hope the dough doesn’t count this performance,” he said.
“The career will end if there is a dough playing 10-15 matches on this goal.
Let’s take into account.
Everyone will try hard to win the game for the country.” Shakib said Bangladesh could go far in the tournament if everything benefited them.
“It’s hard to say how far we can go, but I feel we can go far at the World Cup,” he said.
“We have to play matching matches and if we can do it well in the first half, we will bring that trust and we can give the best in the main round.”
