Ghaziabad: The police have damaged the fake call center in Ghaziabad and arrested five people for allegedly deceiving people by promising their work.
The accused people have been identified as residents of Ghaziabad Anuj Kumar Gandhi and Rukhsaar and there, Nagma and Shiva of Delhi.
On Tuesday, the police received a tip-off that some people run fake work racquets from the one-bedroom center center in the Tina Mod area.
The police team raided the place and arrested five people who worked there.
According to the police, Anuj is the mastermind and began to operate the call center about six months ago.
SP-City 2 Gyanendra Singh told the Toi that the defendant used to get detailed applicants from the work portal and call it.
“They will notify them about vacancies in private banks, IT companies and other sectors.
Once they get the trust of the target, they will then start demanding money for documents, interview calls and offer letters.
They used to take around Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 Lakh from An individual, “Singh said.
