Shantha Rangaswamy suggested a domestic pink ball before Australia’s challenge

New Delhi: APEX BCCI Board member Shantha Rangaswamy has written to his colleagues, including the carrier of the office, suggests “terrible” needs to regulate the domestic pink ball competition before the historic women’s day test in Australia starting September 30.
In his advice to give encouragement to women’s cricket, the former Indian captain Shantha stressed on the need to compensate for women’s crickets in the domestic circuit to lose the game because of the Pandemic Covid-19 by BCCI planning their male colleagues.
He also wants an Indian regular tour for women when the Covid-19 situation increases because it will be very helpful in increasing the strength of the bench.
“We have received his advice.
We will see as well as possible they can be implemented,” said a senior BCCI official to PTI.
Shantha was not available for comments but in the letter, which was in ownership of PTI, she quoted a team of men fighting in a pink ball test in Australia where Virat Kohli and Co.
Closed for 36 to lose the series opening in Adelaide in Adelaide before making a winning comeback.
“Thanks to BCCI’s efforts, the Cricket test has been revived with Indian women who play England recently,” he wrote refers to India’s first test in almost seven years where the team made a dashing dramatic battle.
India plays a pink ball test in the famous WACA in Perth and because this is a one-time test, Shantha feels a kind of exercise match is a must.
Even at the domestic level, women have not played red ball cricket since 2018.
“Because we (BCCI) have stopped multi-day domestic crickets since 2018, our team of women barely played ball cricket.” It was for the credit of the female team that they had issued a respectable draw despite all the opportunities in the test that had just been concluded against England.
“Remembering the background above, playing under the lights in WACA in Perth will be a harder task.
They need to play under the lights with a pink ball before they start a tour of Australia.
He suggested a two-day game involving four teams to prepare it for The challenge below.
India Play three ODIs starting September 19 before the test during the night and there will also be quarantine 14 days after their arrival in Australia.
The only BCCI window must be a slot on the domestic pink ball event is August.
“I suggested that 4 teams Minimum 13 players were chosen and they played each other in two days to get used to.
The President (Sourav Ganguly) talks about time constraints to remember Quarantine 14 days in Australia, “Shantha wrote.” But to counter unilateral tests on Australia, there is a need that suggests above.
Because the challenge of Women’s female itself is in danger of remembering time constraints, I begged you all to schedule above to make a woman’s team adapt to a pink ball.
“As I mentioned during (meeting the Apex board on June 20), our men’s team was too struggling in a pink ball test in Australia the last time they played but they could erase the memory when they played more tests and appeared.
But because it’s a test.
One time, this advice is acceptable / implemented, “Shantha wrote.
BCCI has formed a committee to determine the compensation package for domestic cricket because the trophy Ranji cannot be held last year due to a pandemic.
Shantha wants a similar package for women.
“I repeated my request to compensate for women’s cricket for matches that were not held.” On the need to tour, he added: “There is a need to increase the Indian tour for women.
I ask you to consider such a tour of the team like Sri Lanka / Bangladesh when our senior woman goes to Australia.
This is the only way the strength of the bench can Enhanced.
“Please consider the above profitable things.
I have full confidence in the good intention of this council to bring the cricket of women in the future.
