Pune: As a school student, Sharad Pawar once cycled into the city of Temple of the Jejuri in Pune District to see the shooting of Dilip Kumar for Naya Recycling.
Years later, Bollywood legend visited the reputency constituency to campaign for him.
Kumar, 98, died at Mumbai Hospital on Wednesday morning.
“I appreciate a lot of memory about him.
I still remember that when I did my middle school education in Pune District, we learned that the shooting of the cyclone was taking place in the bridge.
We all went up the film to see this film firing.
This is the first time I saw Kumar, “NCP’s head told reporters at Pune.
With the death of veteran actors, he has lost the “fatherial figure”, said Pawar.

“Years later, when I entered politics and began working in public life, different bonds were developed between me and Kumar.
During my election campaign, he used to come for one or two demonstrations,” recalled the pawar.
The actor was active in public life in Mumbai and which was why he was appointed ‘Sheriff’ the capital of the state (honorary position), said Pawar, as he added that as Sheriff, Kumar was interested in city problems.
Besides India, Kumar has great fans who follow abroad too, especially in West Asia, said pawar.
“When we went to Syria and Egypt together, the locals, especially the young man came in large quantities to see it,” he said.
During the Indian-Chinese and Indian-Pakistani war, Kumar worked to increase the moral of the soldiers and after the war helped to keep the nation unite, said pawar.
“Lately, he is not healthy.
I went to see him three weeks ago.
His wife Saira-ji hopes that he will reach the age of 100 but the trip ends today at the age of 98 years.
But we should all be grateful to him for his contribution and I pray to God that his soul was in peace, “said the NCP leader.
Incidentally, in his book ‘in my requirements, “Pawar had written about” cold “in their relationship after he refused Kumar’s request to be a little softer about the Sanjay Dutt actor who was arrested in the case of the 1993 Mumbai Blast.” He was sad about his virtual friend Sanjay Dutt and wanted me to be a little softer.
Quoting strong evidence of young actors, I rejected his request.
Even though the cold crashed our bonds after that, the relationship between Saira Banu and my family continued to be warm as usual, “said Head of NCP.
In a message on Twitter on Wednesday, said Pawar,” sad to hear about his death of veteran actor Dilip Kumar.
We have lost legend.
