Jaipur: The State Government has written to Minister of Sisters Road Transportation and Jalan Raya Nitin Gadkari to share projects for the North Ring Road proposed to connect Delhi and Agra National Highways.
Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) must invite requests for proposals (RFP) from private companies to build projects.
However, after the letter was written, the process was detained.
The state has urged the center to share projects with NHAI after sharing project costs.
Previously, to implement the Multi-Crore Northern Ring Road project, JDA has decided to appoint a consulting company to prepare detailed project reports (DPR).
The official source said, “When the project was conceived, the state government decided to give it to NHAI.
Then, there was a change in the plan.
Sports have begun again to bring NHAI to share projects with JDA.” 45km project costs (Bagrana to Achral) pegged At Rs 2,887 Crore.
The Ring Road project will consist of toll roads that are controlled by six lanes access and three path service roads on both sides.
The North Corridor will also be developed on the southern corridor path of 47km (Agra Road to Ajmer Road) and JDA will acquire 360 meters wide land.
While the transportation corridor will be built on 90 meters wide, the Civic body proposes a 135-meter wide development corridor along the transportation corridor for commercial purposes.
Not learning lessons from the past, JDA once again planned to obtain extra land for the North Corridor, which might force farmers to protest in the future.
“On the Master Plan 2025, JDA has kept the North 360 meter corridor, just like the southern corridor,” said an official.
In accordance with the initial proposal, the Civic body will need around Rs 1,808 Crore to acquire land for transportation corridors.
Agents have identified land in 26 villages of three Tehsils – Amber, Jaipur and Jamwa-Ramgarh – to acquire a ring road.
The Ring Road project is proposed to be built in the phase.
“Now, the state government only plans to build a corridor to connect Delhi Road and Agra Road.
Chandwaji Expressway will be used as a Ring Road to Delhi Road and Ajmer Road through Sikar Road,” the official said.
