Glasgow: British COP26 President Alok Sharma urged other nations on Saturday to ask themselves, no longer they could search in the UN climate talks but what was sufficient and returned a series of text as the summit agreement.
“Please don’t ask yourself what else you can search but ask what is enough.
Is this package balanced? Does it provide enough for all of us?” He told the summit after what was called the Stocktaking plenary was postponed by the last minute fight for what an official was described as “some problems”.
“The most important thing please ask yourself whether these texts will eventually provide for everyone and our planet.” He added that after the informal plenary, the meeting would regroup on Saturday.
