New Delhi: Announcement of the T20 World Cup squad on Wednesday comes with its surprise share, especially with the control board for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the appointment of former Indian captain MS Dhoni as a team mentor to come in UAE and Oman.
Former Treasurer BCCI Anirudh Chaudhry believes it will undoubtedly increase the chances of India to bring home the trophy.
After working with Dhoni in administrative capacity during the 2009 T20 World Cup and a tour of India in the UK (manager), Chaudhry made him short and sweet and called it a very good step.

The All-India senior selection committee met on Wednesday to choose a squad for the T20 World Cup T20 Men who will come to be held by BCCI from October 17 to November 14 in UAE and Oman.
In a step of surprise, Off-Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was included in the team that will start his campaign against Pakistan’s Arch-Rivals.
Ashwin last played T20i against West Indies in July 2017.
