Raj Kundra hit the headlines on Monday after he was arrested by Mumbai police in cases related to pornography.
Entrepreneurs, who are married to Bollywood actress Shetty, are named after ‘key conspirators’ in this case.
The arrest of Police Commissioner Mumbai, Hemant Nagrrale confirmed Raj Kundra’s arrest in a statement on Monday.
It read, “There was a case listed with Crime Branch Mumbai on February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and published it through several applications.
We have arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 7/19/21 because he seemed to be a key conspirator from this.
”
Order for cheating content and insccene
According to the news portal, Raj Kundrra has been ordered below 420 (cheating), 34 (general intentions), 292 and 293 (related to ad and obscene and indecent and indecent) from IPC other than other parts of the IT Law and indecent representation of women ( Prohibition) acts.
Posting Acrestsoon after his arrest, Raj Kundra was taken for a medical examination at the JJ Hospital by Mumbai Police Crime Property Cell.
He was then taken to the Mumbai Police Commissioner office and spent the night in a crime branch custody, Mumbai.
On Tuesday, Raj Kundra will be produced before the 37th Metropolitan Metropolitan Court.
Gehana Vasisth’s involvement, Kundra has been arrested allegedly in the case of pornography which was examined since the beginning of this year, and where nine people, including the Gehana Vasisth model and actor were arrested.
According to a report about TOI, the name Raj Kundrra in the probe appeared after property cells found the involvement of the British production company, Kenrin, and the police arrested his executive, Umesh Kamsat.
He was a former employee of Raj Kundra and was reportedly accused of uploading at least eight “pornographic and obscene videos” taken by Gehna Vasisth on social media applications.
According to Toi, the police suspected that Raj Kundra had shares in Kenrin.
In the statement of Police Commissioner Mumbai Hemant Nagrrale has revealed, “Ra Kundra seems to be the main conspirator of this.”
