SHGS does not get funds during the rules of AIADMK: Stalin

Vathalmalai (Dharmapuri): Minister M K Stalin on Thursday stated that the Swadaya group struggled to get funds during the AIDMK regime and that DMK had revived them since taking over administration.
Interacting with residents of Vathalmalai, a Hillock Hamlet Tribal in the Dharmapuri District, Stalin showed that the former chairman of the Minister of Late M Karanganidhi played a role in launching a self-help group in Dharmapuri and that he (Stalin), as the local minister and body deputy cm, had given them many loans.
“Swadaya groups have a hard time getting funds from the bank during the AIDMK government.
So, we revive the scheme after forming the government to help women stand on their own feet and live life with self-esteem,” Stalin said.
He told the residents that the government had fulfilled 202 promises of polls and that the rest would be implemented gradually.
Stalin also heard their complaints and submitted welfare steps to the 16.5 crore tone to 2,116 beneficiaries in the hamlet tribal.
The villagers, who said it was the first time a minister visited Hamlet, thanked Stalin.
Stalin promised them that the government would immediately take steps to appoint a chairman and other members to the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Commission.
Previously on that day, Stalin inaugurated the construction of obstetrics and a comprehensive emergency new-birth care service built at a cost of 10 crorses in Medical Medical Hospital Dharmapuri and various other projects applied at a cost of 17.44 crores.
The minister’s chairman also visited Hogenakkal, where he examined the water pump house and discussed the joint water supply scheme of Hogenackal with officials.
Stalin was accompanied by the Minister of Welfare of Health and the MA Subramanian family, PMK Pennagaram MLA G K Mani and senior officials.
