Mumbai: Juhu’s police registered FIR on Thursday after Sunana Shetty, the mother of Bollywood’s actor Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, complained of fraud Rs 1.6 Crore in the property agreement.
The mother was first approached the court, but was directed to Juhu’s police.
Police sources said it was a two-year-old incident where Shetty bought land in Karjat from a seller who allegedly posed as the owner, with fake documents.
When Shetty asked for money, he refused and allegedly said he was connected with politicians.
“There is no arrest made.
We proceed further,” said a senior official from the Juhu Police Station.
