Varanasi: Ahead of the opening of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham Temple (KVD) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, the holy city exploded into a great celebration on Saturday.
To mark the opportunity, the colors of Baraat Shiv was taken in the city of Lord Shiva on Saturday.
With the finalization of work giving one color on the building along the road to KVD, building lighting has been intensified.
In addition, the morning procession in the midst of ‘Kirtans’ and other events was also held.
Minister of State (Independent Load) for Tourism and Religious Affairs Neelkanth Tiwari marked from Shiv Baraat specially in Saptsagar bathing in the Maidagin area.
It is planned by the District Culture and Administration Department, Shiv Bara is held with the help of Shiv Baraat Samiti (SBS), which traditionally has this event on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, and Amarnath Yatra Samiti.
Many trader unity also took part in Baraat Shiv.

Regarding the tradition of Shiv Baraat, SBS Secretary General Diped Singh remembered that when gold was stolen from KVT in 1983, Kashi people had planned to protest March.
“But, before this parade can be removed from gold stolen by the police,” he said, “after this, March celebration was taken in the form of Shiv Baraat on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
Since then, Shiv Bara has become the Almighty tradition.
Events This has become a symbol of communal harmony because of the role of the bride played by someone from the Muslim community.
