Mumbai: In the first victory of Sabha outside Maharashtra, Shiv Sena won by-election to Dadra’s seat and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Kalaben Delkar, the widow of the former MP Mohan Delkar, won a chair with a margin of 51,269 votes.
Kalaben defeated the candidate BJP Mahesh Gavit.
Mohan is a member of Parliament of Independent from Dadra and Nagar Haveli who committed suicide in Mumbai in February.
Kalaben joined Shiv Sena recently.
He dedicated his victory to Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Kaaben surveyed 1,18,035 votes and Gavit Baunded 66,766 votes.
Choosing a chair, which is part of the Dadra Union and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, took place on October 30.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who is one of the party’s main election managers, said this was Sena’s first step outside Maharashtra.

Mohan Delkar, a MP seven times, was found dead in a room at the Sea Green South Hotel on Marine Drive on February 22.
