PUNE: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is defined to construct a brand new bus depot in Shivajinagar, the building of which is anticipated to take approximately eight months following the MahaMetro palms over the website to another year.
“On July 22 following calendar year, the building of the Metro station at Shivajinagar is going to be finished and the MahaMetro will operate over the website to the MSRTC.
Observing this, we’ll begin the building of our depot,” country transportation minister Anil Parab stated on Friday, while on a trip to Pune.
Maha Metro, that will be building an underground Metro station in Shivajinagar, is considering constructing a multi-modal transportation hub — such as the MSRTC bus depot at the place.
MahaMetro had obtained property in the MSTRC with this particular partnership.
The MahaMetro was going to create the entire structure, for example, channel, and then hand it on to the MSRTC.
The MSRTC depot in Shivajinagar was previously altered to Wakdewadi, approximately 1.5kilometers from Shivajinagar.
But early this season, the MSRTC withdrew in the undertaking.
“It’s been determined that the MahaMetro will cover the MSRTC to get a plot admeasuring 4,000sqm, where only the Metro channel is going to be constructed.
The rest of the property (belonging to this MSRTC) will soon be passed back into the MSRTC.
The MSRTC will subsequently begin building of a bus depot about the storyline.
When the new depot is prepared, the Wakdewadi depot is going to be closed down,” a source said.
