Jaipur: Shivani Meena from the Madhopur sawai has become the first woman appointed as an excavation engineer in an open mine in Indian coal.
An alumni of Iit Jodhpur, Meena has joined the Cast Rajrappa Open project at Jharkhand.
He will maintain improvement and maintenance of heavy excavation machines.
Speaking to Toi, the 24-year-old player edited his success to his family and said their academic background was very helpful in the election.
While he never thought that he would be the first woman in this work, Meena claimed that he was eager to learn more.
“My brother had also carried out engineering from Iite and looked at him, I knew that I wanted to follow the same path.

After completing his studies until the 10th grade of Bharatpur where his father was a professor at College Polytechnic, Meena took coaching from the city and then continued to pursue electrical engineering from IIT-Jodhpur.
