Lucknow: The founder of the Pragathatheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia (PSP-L), Shivpal Yadav, on Monday managed to avoid the police cordon outside his home to go to Lakhimpur Kheri, where eight people died on Sunday.
However, the police swung actions and intercepted him in Janipuram where he was detained with his supporters.
He was taken to the police line and released later at night.
Speaking with people’s media, Shivpal illustrates the case of the Lakhimpur Kheri as “the most sad and brutal incident from India Independent”.
“Farmers are made to pay with their lives to raise voices to agricultural law.
It has never been previously in India Independent,” Shivpal said.
PSP-L’s head demanded that the State Union Minister Mishra Teni, whose son Ashish Mishra allegedly led a convoy of a car that destroyed four farmers to death, had to return to his position.
“Son of the Minister must be arrested and KIN from the deceased to be given Gratia Rs 1 Crore and government work.
Judicial Probe by a high court judge who sits must be ordered and strict actions are initiated against those responsible for the farmers of death,” he said.
