Damascus: Rocket API targets US military bases in the eastern province of Syria in Deir al-Zour, the country’s media reported on Monday.
Sunday night workers targeted the base in Al-Omar oil fields, the Xinhua news agency quoted the official news agency there.
It added that the US fighter flown above the area after the land forces closed it.
Syrian observatories for human rights say rockets, identified “Iran-Made”, were fired from the city of Al-Mayadeen in the Deir Al-Zour countryside.
It added that the rocket exploded in the base.
The UK-based observatory noted that US forces did not respond to a fire.
However, a spokesman for the coalition led by US Wayne Marotto denied the attack on American forces in Syria.
“There is no truth in the report that US forces in Syria were attacked by rockets today,” he said.
On June 28, the attack by pro-Iranian fighters targeted the same base located in the same area near the Syria-Iraqi border.
