Jammu: Three people, including two prime were accused of the case of Arnia Shootout, arrested on Wednesday and AK-47 ammunition, 12 drill weapons, several sharp-eyed weapons, four vehicles, 10G heroin and RS 2 lakh cash confiscated.
On November 5, three people were killed in Arnia when the attackers opened fire on them.
“Two of them surrendered in the third place while they died during treatment.
Other people also sustain bullet injuries,” said Jammu Ssp Chandan Kohli.
“After the attack, the attackers had saved weapons in the hiding place and escaped from the place,” said SSP, added that a subsequent case was registered in the relevant legal section, and a sitting was formed to investigate crime.
“On November 8, the wife of one of the main charges, Sadeeq Choudhary, was questioned and she led the police to the hiding place from the place of the weapon recovered,” SSP said.
“Today (Wednesday), sat received information about the movement of the defendant and formed three teams to track them.
The trio was arrested from the outskirts of Kathua,” Ssp Kohli said.
“The arrest includes the Sadeeq Choudhary of Arnia, Bhupinder Singh from the Pura Hospital and their hands Gulab Din from Samba, who has hidden the two initial charges,” SSP said.
Sadeeq previously worked in the police department and was dismissed from the service in 2019, while Gulab Din aka Ghaisa was a criminal sought with a series of cases against it, he added.
“Revolver along with 10 cartridges found from Bhupinder and four vehicles used in the crime were confiscated,” said SSP Kohli, added: “Based on information obtained from the trio, the police raided Bhupinder’s house, some sharp, eyed weapons, 10g heroin and money cash 2 lakh Rs.
