Rajkot: Jamnagar police on Thursday arrested the owner of the Readymade clothing store for allegedly raping a little girl in his office.
The defendant was identified as Jahangir Yusuf Khafi, a resident of Valkeshwari Nagari in Jamnagar.
The 16-year-old girl has filed a complaint against Khafi with the Division C police station on Wednesday night.
According to the girl’s complaint, he has worked at the Khafi showroom as Salesgirl for the past five months.
The accusation allegedly raped the number of girls between April and June this year in his office, acciding in his complaint.
Based on the girl’s complaint, the defendant was ordered under various parts of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and part of the protection of children from the acts of sexual violations (Pocso).
Police further said that Khafi had a criminal past and was previously booked for experimental murder in the past.
