Shops remain closed, quiet streets

Coimbatore: Business hub in the city is closed on Saturday adhering to the restrictions on the end of the District Administration Weekend.
Administration has tightened restrictions given the increasing case of Covid-19 in neighboring Kerala.
The commercial area includes road crossings, 100 feet trails, Oppanakara Road, Ramamurthy Road, Saramedu Road, Ricemill Road, Saranallur Signal to Ondipudur Flyover, Hope-Syling College, Road Kalatti, Jalan Samy, Jalan NSR, Arokyasamy Road, Ganapati.

Autorickshaw drivers and handymms are affected.
The Peellamedu-based workman said that he got several calls from clients for small repairs, but could not take work because the hardware shops were closed.
“I got a telephone from clients mostly during the weekend because most of them were spectators,” he said.
