Bokaro: Although the State Health Department has directed all district governments to strengthen each of their Covid-19 medical infrastructure to overcome the possibility of the third wave, Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) here is not paying heed.
BGH, owned and operated by Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL), is a mainstay in the Battle of the District against Pandemi since March last year.
However, BSL management has failed to keep the Hospital Critical Care Unit (CCU) in the framework of work.
The 18-bed CCU unit has a scarcity of bedside monitors and other medical equipment while nine of the 13 ventilators are damaged.
BGH received all the ventilators earlier this year under the PM-Cares Fund.
From the monitor 13 bedside, only three are functional when CCU does not have an adequate doctor or medical staff.
Well whether it has high flow of the Canula nasal (HFNC) and the ABG engine while there is an eight syringe pump on the need for a spokesman’s head 25.
BSL Manikant Dhan said, “We procurement of 10 new ventilators from Rourkela within 10 days while the order has been placed for the monitor Bedside, bed and some other important equipment.
They will be available within one month.

“Hospitals are important for health in the area and BSL management must strengthen it at the beginning,” Narayan said.
Even though the doctor and medical staff were at the front line of the war against Covid-19, BGH lacked specialist doctors at 13 departments.
Because of the shortcomings, BGH has referred to patients to another hospital.
However, the Association of Bokaro Steel Officers’ has rallied behind BGH.
“BGH has a ventilator in a department such as MIU and NICU, which can be moved to the CCU for the treatment of patients.
Procurement is ongoing and the gap will be installed immediately, “Ak Singh, President Association, claimed.
