Bengaluru: Passengers from Maharashtra entered Karnataka for a two-day or less visited visit not to carry the RT-PCR negative test report now.
The Karnataka Health Welfare Department issued a circular on Monday that the passengers had to bring a legitimate return ticket and had to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with both vaccine doses to enjoy the exception.
Also, travelers must have covid symptoms and provide a form of mandatory self declaration on arrival through roads, air or train.
Those who came from Maharashtra to stay outside the two days must bring a negative RT-PC report when entering Karnataka.
The decision attended a technical advisory committee meeting which recommended that RT-PCR relaxation can be offered to short-term visitors who came from Maharashtra after major improvements in the Covid-19 situation.
The meeting noted that the peposititivity level of the Maharashtra test was slightly higher than Karnataka in terms of daily load cases.
Circular said travelers must follow the behavior that matches Covid and wear facemask as long as they live in Karnataka.
