Thiruvananthapuram: CPM and UDF will send delegations to estimate the ground situation in Lakshadweep where folks are protesting against the reforms suggested by the island management.
On Friday, CPM say secretariat made a decision to send a delegation of MPs into Lakshadweep.
“A delegation headed by party central committee member Elamaram Kareem, V Sivadasan and AM Arif will see Lakshadweep to evaluate the circumstance,” country secretariat said.
UDF’s delegation will be led by RSP MP NK Premachandran also it’ll interact with the folks in the seas.
CPM additionally announced protest programmes against the central government’s move to bring a range of modifications in Lakshadweep.
“In protest against the Centre’s move to offset the particular rights of Lakshadweep, CPM would arrange a ton of protests,” explained the celebration state secretariat.
Included in the, CPM would arrange protest programmes facing Lakshadweep offices in Kochi and Beypore on May 31.
The protests will be held sticking to Covid-19 protocol, so the party announcement said.
