PANAJI: In an effort to fight increasing instances of divorce, the Goa government is set to introduce compulsory counseling for couples prior to marriage enrollment.
This counseling, that will be run by the nation, could”describe the idea of union” to couples before they’re permitted to enter into wedlock, legislation minister Nilesh Cabral stated.
Cabral said the counseling will be carried out immediately following the very first touch and could be run via the Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD).
“If some religious institutes desire to combine from the pre-marriage counseling, then they’re also welcome,” he explained.
“The certification of completion of counseling (out of GIPARD) will be mandatory for the next touch.
